So with all the Cosmo Cricket I own, I figured I take a stab at this sketch contest. What the heck, you never know unless you try! :D
And here is my take on it using the bright and sunny Togetherness. We definitely could use some sunshine here in these parts...lol
I had fun using a Martha Stewart border punch and the fringed scissors for the bottom. I cut the clouds out of the one patterned paper and outlined it with some distress Stickles. I even decided to paint on the layout and add some paint drops...fun stuff!
On another note, I scrapped a layout of my son's Boy Scout Blue and Gold ceremony which he recently attended. I used the Basic Grey Oliver for Alissa's challenge at Back Porch Memories. While I don't think I put a dent in my BG stash, (especially since I just picked up the two new releases -- Hello Luscious & It's a Party) I did manage to use some and that's a good thing! ;^) Almost forgot to add that I used a terrific sketch by Jana Eubank that was actually featured in the My Mind's Eye newsletter.
That's it for now. I do have another layout that's just waiting for journaling for over a week....lol Have a happy, scrappy day!

Back at it!
Cheri and I are back to creating layouts with our manufacturing challenges...woo hoo! I need something to get me going. This time around Making Memories was up, so I dug deep and came up with an older line -- Funky Vintage Lizzie Collection. I figured I had bought tons and embellies to boot, so I had better get to using it. I swear some times when I go through my scrap room and start reorganizing and putting stuff away, I get a bit depressed. I mean I LOVE paper and all other supplies, but the fact that I have SOOOO much and know in my lifetime I will never use it all makes me depressed. Why is that? Okay...can't think of that now! LOL Here is the layout I made using a photo of my sweet niece Gabby that I doctored up with Paint the Moon actions. Love her stuff!!
I used lots of stuff on here as every time I looked there was something else I wanted to put on it. The word rub-ons are Cosmo Cricket and the bird cage rub-on is SEI. The bird/flowers piece and the tickets are House of 3 Silhouette print and cut designs. Love the new Martha Stewart border punch!
This blue flower base was created using the Fiskars Treading Water border punch as shown in Scrapbooks Etc.'s April edition. Loved how they showed you many ways to make homemade flowers!!
Next up is a layout that I finally took a photo of. I had started Project 12 and didn't actually finish it...gasp, I know right! I don't know why I have the hardest time sticking to a project and this one was EASY! I guess I could still go back and try to finish last years' photos with a monthly layout. TRY is the key word...lol
Created the flower using Tim Holtz's flower die -- TERRIFIC die for flower making.
And here are two House of 3 print and cut files for the Silhouette that I stapled together. They definitely have some great files. The little bird on the top is from Maya Road -- cute thing!
Well, that's it for now. I'm hoping to get back down in the scrap room some time this week. I was seriously jonesing to scrap and getting that in really helped with my attitude this week.
Wishing you all a happy scrappy week!

So much time has passed...
but we won't go there...lol I haven't scrapped much since December when I finished up my last month designing for Back Porch Memories. I'm going to miss those kits! I finally pushed myself to scrap this past week and it took FOREVER to finish only two layouts. The mojo wasn't flowing at all...bummer! However, I finally did something with these photos of Collin sporting two different character costumes from Star Wars that he insisted on wearing back-to-back Halloweens. I had found this paper on a whim a while ago and bought it just for these photos. I found it hard to scrap with when it came down to it, but I gave it a go.
Whew, don't think I'll go with such a drastic themed paper again for a while...lol
Then I took part in a BPM monthly challenge that Michelle is hosting. The challenge is to use a title to a song for your layout. Well, when I heard this song just recently on the radio by Kid Rock (who just turned 40), I knew I had to scrap a layout using it. If you get a chance to listen to it, you must! The lyrics crack me up!
Used some new Martha Stewart punches on this layout...I couldn't resist them! LOL Promise I won't be gone for that long. I must keep scrapping -- if not for my sanity, then to use this stash I have spent a fortune on! :D
