New Blog Header

Dang! I'm trying to get this thing right, but I'm having a heck of time. I had some new directions, however they didn't help me to fit the header properly or to be able to fit the digi papers. I just copied and pasted them over and over. Some of the digi paper is from the new Prima Hybrid and the owls are from Little Dreamer Designs. I'd love to pay tribute to both artists, but I didn't save that information...sorry!

So if anyone has any better tutorial on how to do this blog header thing, please pass it on to me :D

Secondly, here's a little peek at my Back Porch Memories mid month project. I do a little tutorial on using your scraps up. It definitely has helped me because there wasn't but a bit of this Collage Press Margot paper left by the time I was that! If you're even a bit interested at what I have up my sleeves for next month, make sure to go and sign up for the newsletter :D
here's the proof!

Without further ado, the next manufacturer I challenge us to scrap is....

Whew! I was hoping for something pretty and not a line I would have to mumble under my breath about...LOL So here we are have it. Let's get to scrapping this challenge, Cheri :D (and anyone else who wants to play along!!) Due 2/10 by midnight

The other day Cheri and I were on the phone for quite a while and amidst this conversation I decided to challenge us. Yes, I said "challenge" because we have sooooooooooooo much patterned paper that we went crazy over last year that has literally sat there untouched. Our first challenge was to use American Crafts. That wonderful paper that was so pretty, yet so busy. Our first challenge was due tonight and we both met the deadline -- YAY!!

Here's Cheri's using the beautiful AC Persimmon and Romaine papers with that precious little Peanut to boot! Beautiful job, my friend!!!!

Here's mine using Gazpacho and Bruschetta from the A La Carte line -- I love how all those papers had food names!! They're still one of my favorite AC lines. This is my brother and his wife who have been together since the beginning of time as far as I'm concerned...LOL They're too cute!

Of course, I had to throw in a card with some of the scraps and that's only because Ms. C thought so highly of me ;)

I loved this challenge!! We will be having another one if anyone would like to play along. I will pull the name of the next manufacturer tomorrow and we will have two weeks to post it -- due Feb. 10th. Thanks, Cheri, for always being my cheerleader!!! Love ya, girlie!

I've been TAGGED!

by Cheri (the new blogger is already at it...LOL)
This is called the middle name game. Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details).

My middle name: Lynn
L -- loyal
Y -- youthful (at least I think so :D )
N -- nice (lame adjective LOL)
N -- notorious lately for being forgetful..I need some Ginkgo :D

Okay, let me think of who to tag...Lisa, Danielle, Tracy, Jayme, and Mary :D

Happy New Year!!!

I didn't even come wish you all a Merry Christmas...LOL Serioiusly, I was so sick that I couldn't lift my snotty head off the pillow. I'm back to feeling better and thought it time to come update my blog.
I'll start by adding some pics from our Merry celebration which started on Christmas Eve with my side of the family. I know I have a smile on me in this photo, but believe me it's after taking lots of medicine and spiking my orange

I think Santa might have gotten a REAL sugar high from those cookies the kids made (lol) Then Christmas morning came and I felt sooooo bad. My head felt like I don't know what...whew puffy and stuffed!

Here's my little Collin all excited that he got the Rey Mysterio wrestling doll that he begged Santa for, and my sweet Marisa who was beside herself with delight that Santa answered her request and brought her the American Girl doll Julie.

Then we headed to Dave's side of the family where by then I just wanted to crawl up into a ball on the couch. Thursday came and Dave sent me to the doctors where they confirmed I had a sinus infection and gave me meds. It took a day or two and then I started to feel better. Now that a week has gone by, I'm feeling back to my old self with still some of the sinus pain. Not bad at all, but it leaves you feeling groggy tired.

By Friday, I had to get the heck out of the house!! So I took the kids to Detroit Institute of Arts. It was a fun and different experience. I wanted to take them skating downtown, but when we left it was pouring rain!

Oh, and can someone give me an interpretation of this??? This is art?? I guess it really does come in all forms *quizzical expression*

On Sunday, December 30 my sister and I took the girls skating. My niece Gabby is a great skater who is in competitions and such. For her it was easy, but held our own, too :D
