It was time!

Hold the phone, people! I actually finished a layout...ya! I'm trying to get in some much needed creative time/therapy when I can. School and classes have taken up much of my time and will continue to do so, but I felt a dire need to touch to play with paper...lol I used a sketch from My Scraps and More's new sketch blog. Check it out! For now I will post my not-so great photo taken a few minutes ago with my phone since I don't have time or daylight to use the big daddy camera. I'll have to switch it out in the next couple of days. I used some new Doodlebug Halloween papers/stickers along with a bit of older Fancy Pants papers. Of course, I had to put my Silhouette Cameo to use cutting the spiderweb background, the circle, and the title tags. That machine makes scrapping so easy!

Back Porch Memories February Guest Designer

There is some serious dust in here, but I've managed to clean my way through to at least make this post. I knew going back to school was going to put a damper on my creativity, but I had no idea it would suffer this much...lol I was asked to be the guest designer for Back Porch Memories this month and eagerly obliged even though midterms are upon me and I should be cramming my brain with IT terminology. Oh, but I can't described how much I enjoyed playing with paper and forgetting about all that for a bit. I had the pleasure of working with the medley kit this month which includes American Crafts Chaps, October Afternoon Sasparilla, and Jillibean Soup Sweat & Sour line. I can say, too, that my Cameo got quite a workout. I can't say enough about this machine. I own the original Silhouette, but it doesn't even compare to the smooth cutting ability of this machine. It cuts like butta!

I used a wood grain background stamp on the kraft cardstock to give it a worn, western feel.

Thanks for taking a peek! Hopefully it won't be another year until I blog again...lol
