As I sit here and type, I can hear both kids coughing like crazy in their bedrooms. They seem to be taking turns in their sleep. Here we go. It was bound to happen, but let's just hope this is a minor cough/cold thing. Marisa has been fighting it for a few days now, but Collin woke me up at 6:18 (yes, I remember the time because it was earlier than my alarm!!) saying he needed to go to the doctor. He is so cute!! In his little 3- year-old voice he says, "Mommy, I go to the doctor." I ask him if his throat hurts, and he says, "Yes, my throat hurts." Well, I didn't take him to the doctor because I'm always afraid of looking the the hypochondriac mother. I wait until I see some serious symptoms which include lying there with no movement...lol I'll have to see how tomorrow goes because it's just like kids to get sick on the weekend.
I've had quite a day trying to potty train Collin. We went through 3 pairs of his underwear until he finally had none left that were washed. I had to put Marisa's underwear on him. I hope I'm not setting the stage for a fetish with wearing women's underwear -- YIKES!!! I'll have him back in his race car undies first thing tomorrow. He almost made it to the potty to do #2 or at least that's what he thought until he came and got me and it was falling out of his pant leg. Jeez, we had to do the whole "poo poo goes in the potty" thing again. I never yell and I make sure to tell him it's okay to have an accident. I just go through all of the steps again sitting him back on the toilet...blah blah blah. He's going to get this; right? I mean I'm not going to have a 15 year old son with poop falling out of his pant leg; right?
I finished another layout for the LSSC at Just4Keeps. I love doing these challenges. It has really pushed me out of my comfort zone as far as the subject and creativity level. Unfortunately, I am getting no other scrapping done because it's zapping me of all my creativity. I signed up for Stacy Julian's URCrea8ive class and I've yet to do one thing for it. I've been printing them, so I can go back to it at a later day. Well, off to watch some boob tube for a bit and then off to la-la land.

Another Day
I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I'd come do so. Let's see, not much has been going on here in winter wonderland. I so hate winter. You're stuck in the house each and every day unless one freak 40 degree sunny day comes along. I'm not a person who really likes to go outside in the winter. Now if we had snow and I could take the kids sledding or something, I would. That's the kind of winter day I'll go out and play in.
Other than that, Collin and I went to our first Parent/Tot fun class at the Warren Community Center. He really did enjoy playing with the other children. I was surprised at how well behaved he actually was. He only had a few outbursts. He didn't want to join in on some of the singing and dancing, but I'm sure he'll come around as soon as he's not so embarassed. I look at my little guy and can't believe how much he's growing up. He's such a sweet kid. I can't stop hugging and kissing that boy of mine.
Dave and I are trying so hard to potty train him. He is the last of our children and the most stubborn. Dave tells me that Travis was potty trained by 2. Marisa was potty trained fully by 2 1/2. But, oh no, Collin is 3 1/2 and still refuses to use the potty regularly. I will admit some of it is my fault. I don't want to take him out of the house without a diaper because I don't fell like cleaning up a mess in the middle of Target or some place. Slowly, I have been taking him on quick errands with just "big boy" undies on. We've had a total of 3 small pee-pee accidents today -- well, you could just call it dribbles, but anywho it required a new set of undies each time. Then he came around the corner crying his eyes out about an hour ago because he had poo poo'd in his pants. Well, we changed all that and I dug out the "Once Upon A Potty" video so he could see once again where #2 is supposed to go. What I find ironic, is that one day he will go #2 on the potty and the next he will go in his pants. In his own time, I keep telling myself!!
Marisa starts pee-wee basketball next week. She's so excited about that. She's also wanting to audition for Stars Night at school. She wants to sing!!! I don't want to dissuade her at all, but I get so nervous for her just thinking about it. I'll encourage her even though my nerves can't handle it.
That's about all the going ons in my exciting life right now. Oh, I did take a scrapbook class at my LSS on the 21st of January. It was fun, but I left there not feeling 100% satisfied. The project didn't seem worth the money to me.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I have been participating in the LSSC at Just4Keeps. It seems this contest is the only thing I can focus on. I haven't been able to participate in anything else or do any other scrapping. But I have to admit, I am enjoying all of the challenges. I have created layouts that I never would have without these challenges. I'll post these layouts later.
