I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I'd come do so. Let's see, not much has been going on here in winter wonderland. I so hate winter. You're stuck in the house each and every day unless one freak 40 degree sunny day comes along. I'm not a person who really likes to go outside in the winter. Now if we had snow and I could take the kids sledding or something, I would. That's the kind of winter day I'll go out and play in.
Other than that, Collin and I went to our first Parent/Tot fun class at the Warren Community Center. He really did enjoy playing with the other children. I was surprised at how well behaved he actually was. He only had a few outbursts. He didn't want to join in on some of the singing and dancing, but I'm sure he'll come around as soon as he's not so embarassed. I look at my little guy and can't believe how much he's growing up. He's such a sweet kid. I can't stop hugging and kissing that boy of mine.
Dave and I are trying so hard to potty train him. He is the last of our children and the most stubborn. Dave tells me that Travis was potty trained by 2. Marisa was potty trained fully by 2 1/2. But, oh no, Collin is 3 1/2 and still refuses to use the potty regularly. I will admit some of it is my fault. I don't want to take him out of the house without a diaper because I don't fell like cleaning up a mess in the middle of Target or some place. Slowly, I have been taking him on quick errands with just "big boy" undies on. We've had a total of 3 small pee-pee accidents today -- well, you could just call it dribbles, but anywho it required a new set of undies each time. Then he came around the corner crying his eyes out about an hour ago because he had poo poo'd in his pants. Well, we changed all that and I dug out the "Once Upon A Potty" video so he could see once again where #2 is supposed to go. What I find ironic, is that one day he will go #2 on the potty and the next he will go in his pants. In his own time, I keep telling myself!!
Marisa starts pee-wee basketball next week. She's so excited about that. She's also wanting to audition for Stars Night at school. She wants to sing!!! I don't want to dissuade her at all, but I get so nervous for her just thinking about it. I'll encourage her even though my nerves can't handle it.
That's about all the going ons in my exciting life right now. Oh, I did take a scrapbook class at my LSS on the 21st of January. It was fun, but I left there not feeling 100% satisfied. The project didn't seem worth the money to me.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I have been participating in the LSSC at Just4Keeps. It seems this contest is the only thing I can focus on. I haven't been able to participate in anything else or do any other scrapping. But I have to admit, I am enjoying all of the challenges. I have created layouts that I never would have without these challenges. I'll post these layouts later.
